Antoinette Morrison MT-BC, Back Mountain Music Therapy, The Heyward Rooms LLC Owner and Lead Therapist.

Antoinette Morrison, a Board Certified Music Therapist is the owner of Back Mountain Music Therapy, The Heyward Rooms LLC. Antoinette has been a Board Certified Music Therapist since 1990. Antoinette took time off to raise her family, then when coming to the area began contract work in schools and later developed her individualized practice. In 2014 she began working part time, as the Music Therapy Clinic Director, along with her other teaching and supervising roles at Marywood University. As Antoinette continued her private practice alongside her University work, she also enjoyed the training of Music Therapy Interns after they had fulfilled their undergraduate studies. IN 2018 she moved her practice to a brick and mortar location in Kingston, PA . As her practice developed, and grew, she moved her practice to a larger facility located at 1194 Twin Stacks Drive, Dallas, PA 18612. The new space better accommodates her expanding practice. Under, Back Mountain Music Therapy, The Heyward Rooms, Antoinette has trained a small team of Music Therapists and has continued their international Developmental training with other professions such as Occupational therapists, Physical therapists, Speech therapists, educators and mental health professionals under the ICDL (Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders https://www.icdl.com). Trainings focus on a relationship based, developmental approach to working with individuals. Antoinette and her team are very dedicated to this respectful manner of working.

Lisa Kapitula, Office Manager

Lisa , the BMMT Office Manager has 30+ years experience in customer service and office management.  She takes pride and is diligent in her work. Besides Lisa’s committed sense of organization and detail, she is the warmth that client family’s first meet in our waiting room. As our therapists work in the clinic, Lisa’s warmth and tenderness with our families is an asset to our clinic. Therefore, BMMT has elected to also educate Lisa with the DIR 102 “Playing with Purpose ” from ICDL. Everyone at BMMT , speaks the same developmental, compassionate language, even as you first enter our clinic.

Lisa is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 7. She has been married for 41 years.

Danielle Nolan

Danielle Nolan is a Music Therapist working with the team at Back Mountain Music Therapy, the Heyward Rooms. Back Mountain Music Therapy is fortunate to have someone so empathetic and insightful in her work, varying from teen mental health,adult ID to elementary age children with neurological or emotional difficulties. Danielle graduated  from Marywood University in 2020 with a Bachelors in Music (majored in Music Therapy) Cum Laude. Danielle completed an internship with the BMMT clinic in June of 2022, beginning her journey in developmental, bottom up work. As our first Music Therapist employee, Danielle began working with her own individual BMMT caseload in September 2022 in the BMMT Clinic. As Back Mountain Music Therapy has expanded, Danielle has  taken on some of Back Mountain Music Therapy’s older school contracts, doing group work at two different elementary schools in North East Pennsylvania as their prime Music Therapist. Danielle also independently contracts Music Therapy services at Allied Services.

She is working towards training through ICDL (Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders) and has continued to receive ICDL mentoring while working her busy schedule. Danielle is a dedicated Music Therapist who is very excited to work with the team at Back Mountain Music Therapy with our current and future clientele.

Allura Dixon

Allura Dixon is a Board-Certified Music Therapist a part of the team at Back Mountain Music Therapy. Allura graduated from Marywood in 2022 with a degree in Music Therapy and a minor in World Religions. After completing her internship under the supervision of Antoinette Morrison at Back Mountain Music Therapy, Allura completed her board certification in 2023. Since becoming a board-certified music therapist, she has continued her training through ICDL (Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders https://www.icdl.com). Trainings focus on a relationship based, developmental approach to working with individuals. Allura is excited to be working with the Back Mountain Music Therapy team to provide support and care to a wide variety of clientele. Allura has worked with a wide range of ages and diagnosis in our clinic. Allura has a deep understanding in the developmental process and understands well the “holes” in developmental accompanying issues that continue to arise with age when these “holes” in development are never addressed.
